Student MINISTRY

Welcome to FUEL STUDENTS!!! Whether it’s your first time at church or you’ve been to many, we want you to know that this is a safe place where you can relax, have fun, and learn something new. We aren't looking for "perfect" faith here—just honest faith.

WE’RE SO GLAD YOU’RE HERE!

What We’re About

FUEL stands for Faith Used In Everyday Life. Our goal is to help you find real purpose, peace, and identity by seeking God together. We believe that while the world can feel dark at times, we are called to be a light that stands out and shares hope with others.

What to Expect

  • Community: You'll find a group of friends who want to support you and grow alongside you.
  • Practical Teaching: We dive into the Bible to see how it applies to real life—tackling topics like relationships, focus, and character.
  • We use the NLT Student Life Application bible in class, but any bible will do.  We can provide a copy to anyone who doesn't have a bible.  This bible has a companion app called Filament that includes reading plans, study notes, etc. https://a.co/d/0gViua6l
  • Honest Conversations: We ask the deep questions, like "What are you really seeking?" and "How can we live differently?".
  • Activities & Events: From weekly lessons to special events like the Missouri Youth Fellowship (MYF) every November and summer camp at Camp Sharon.
  • Come as you are
  • Build real friendships
  • Grow in your faith
  • Have fun and feel like you belong

WEEKLY GATHERINGS

SUNDAYS

WEDNESDAYS

9:00 am - 9:45 am

6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Sunday mornings we meet at 9 AM.  This is a more calm environment where we will have a bible study topic and life application.
Wednesday nights we meet at 6 PM.  From 6-6:30 is a mostly unstructured fellowship time.  At 6:30, we typically begin our lesson, which sometimes includes a game or activity.  Wednesday nights can also become fellowship nights with snacks and games, or a quiz competition of the previous lessons, or sometimes even a short field trip.  Typically, each student will receive a handout of the content of that evening’s lesson with any announcements.  Please ask for the handout for reinforcement of the lesson, as well as any updated communications.

Student Events

Community Clubs: Check out EHS SWAT, EHS FCA, or LSMS Wildcats for Christ during the weeks of the school year.

Camp Sharon: Our summer camp of choice.  There is a week for middle school students and a week for high school students.  The camp is located on the Lake of the Ozarks, and we’ve found it to be a great experience and value for our students.  More information is available at www.campsharonmo.com (http://www.campsharonmo.com/) .

Missouri Youth Fellowship:  MYF occurs the weekend prior to Thanksgiving and rotates around sites in Missouri.  There is a lot of social overlap with Camp Sharon at this event, but the focused weekend of student oriented worship and teaching is very impactful.  We will hold a fundraiser in the fall to support attendance at MYF.
