New Year's Resolution
New Year's resolutions are a great way to set goals and make positive changes in your life. Whether you want to improve your spiritual or physical health, focus on your mental well-being, or make progress in your career, a New Year's resolution can help you stay motivated and on track.
Here are some tips for making and keeping your New Year's resolutions:
1. Set specific, achievable goals. Rather than making a vague resolution like "read my bible more" or "exercise more," set a specific goal like " I'm getting up at 6:00am and reading 3 chapters in Matthew" or "go to the gym three times a week." This will make it easier to measure your progress and stay motivated.
2. Make a plan. To help you achieve your goals, create a plan that includes specific steps you can take to make progress. For example, if your goal is to save money, make a budget and set aside a certain amount of money each month. Make 2023 a "giving" year instead of a spending year.
3. Track your progress. Use a journal or a spreadsheet to keep track of your progress. Seeing the progress you're making can be a great motivator.
4. Find accountability. Share your goals with a friend or family member and ask them to check in with you regularly to see how you're doing. This can help you stay on track and motivated.
5. Be flexible. It's okay if you don't achieve your goals exactly as planned. It's important to be flexible and adjust your goals as needed. If you find that a goal is not realistic or you're having trouble sticking to it, it's okay to reevaluate and set a new goal.
Remember, the most important thing is to stay committed and keep trying. With a little bit of planning and perseverance, you can achieve your New Year's resolutions and make positive changes in your life. Make 2023 a proactive year, not a reactive one!
Begin 2023 by praying for your family, the church, and the kingdom of God we are building together.
