Focus: Where Are Your Eyes Fixed?
Evaluating Our Focus
Ask yourself:
-What dominates your thoughts and time?
-Does your focus draw you closer to God or further away?
-Are you more concerned about what the world says or what God says?
Proverbs 4:25-27 (NASB) offers practical wisdom: “Let your eyes look directly ahead and let your gaze be fixed straight in front of you. Watch the path of your feet, and all your ways will be established. Do not turn to the right or to the left; turn your foot from evil.”
The Reward of Godly Focus
When we prioritize God, we gain clarity, purpose, and peace that surpasses understanding. Isaiah 26:3 (NASB) promises, “The steadfast of mind You will keep in perfect peace, because he trusts in You.”
Choose to focus on God’s eternal ways and watch how He transforms your heart, your actions, and your life. In a world vying for your attention, make the conscious choice to fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith (Hebrews 12:2 NASB).
