Part 10- The Future of Grace Grace: Will Carry You Home

We’ve seen grace in the Garden. We’ve seen it in the Law. We’ve seen it in Jesus, in justification, in transformation, in trials, and in the way we extend it to others. We’ve seen grace at work in our daily growth.

But the story isn’t over. Grace doesn’t just have a past and a present—it has a future.

And that future is glorious.

Grace Is Not Finished Yet
Right now, grace sustains us in a broken world. It holds us when we suffer. It forgives us when we fail. It gives us hope when we’re weary.

But there is coming a day when grace will finish its work, when faith will become sight, when we will be with Jesus face-to-face, and when sin, pain, and death will be no more.

Revelation 21:4 (LSB) promises, “And He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things passed away.

That’s where grace is taking us.

From Justification to Glorification
The grace that saved you (justification) and the grace that is shaping you (sanctification) will one day bring you to glorification, the moment you are made completely like Christ.

Philippians 3:20–21 (LSB) says, “For our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body into conformity with His glorious body, by His working through which He is able to even subject all things to Himself.”

Grace is not just for surviving this life, it’s for preparing you for the next.

Grace That Will Carry You Across the Finish Line
When life feels long and the race feels hard, it’s grace that will carry you.

Jude 24–25 (LSB) says, “Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy, to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, might, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.

Grace will not drop you halfway. The God who began this good work will be faithful to complete it.

A Future With No End to Grace
Even in eternity, grace will not run out. In fact, we will still be marveling over it a million years from now.

Ephesians 2:7 (LSB) says God will show “the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus” in the ages to come.

Think about that: eternity will be an endless unfolding of God’s kindness toward you.

So What Does This Mean for You?
If you are in Christ, your future is secure. No matter how hard the road feels right now, grace will see you through to the very end.

  • When you stumble, grace will pick you up.
  • When you’re weary, grace will renew you.
  • When you take your final breath, grace will bring you home.

And when you arrive, you will stand blameless before God, not because of your goodness, but because of His amazing grace.

Final Word: Live in the Story of Grace
From Eden to eternity, grace has been God’s plan. Don’t just think of it as something you learned about in Sunday School. Live in it. Walk in it. Share it. And never forget—this amazing grace will carry you home.

Revelation 22:21 (LSB) closes the Bible with this blessing:

The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all. Amen.”

In Love,
